Re: when would you poas if you were irregular?

I had a few times where I got a faint positive with heavy bleeding just a few days after I was late. I was told they were chemicals I realize it doesn't make you feel any better . But for me it helped to know that there wasn't a baby just my body got confused if it was pregnant or not. Always a good idea to call your doctor just to make sure she doesn't want to see you. For me they never did.

A chemical pregnancy just means that the embryo didn't develop far enough to be seen on u/s, it doesn't mean you weren't pregnant or your body was confused.

OP - many I am sorry for your loss.
I totally agree with you about not going in to be seen. There's nothing they can do, and it would just mean unnecessary tests and exams.

This isn't what I was told by my doctor I wonder if I am getting the name wrong. It was years ago but I remember her explaining to it me. Does anyone know what the correct term for that would be?

Likely that is what the Dr told you - it's generally what they say about chemicals, that you "were never really pregnant".

To get a + hpt or blood test, you'd have to have hcg in your system. And, other than times when someone is taking meds/hormones that affect hcg, that means that an egg was fertilized and the zygote implanted - without those happening, you wouldn't have a positive test.

A chemical pregnancy is a real pregnancy loss, just as much as a loss after seeing a fetal pole or a wee bean on an u/s screen.

Thanks for the info, this was years ago I just took it as fact and never looked into it(but I should have).
