I had a dozen prefolds and 20 flats, so 32 changes. I can only fit about 20 diapers in my washing machine, so at first I was doing a load a day and by 2 months every other day. I had about a dozen covers. I washed covers with baby clothes instead of with the diapers so there wouldn't be so much wear and tear, so it was good to have plenty.

I forget the exact number i had for my dd, but my ds just got out of nb diapers. He had 13 bg aios, 1 nb simplex, 20 prefitteds i made, 2 gmd wh and 4 infant prefolds and 6 covers. I had 40 diapers and i wash on the 3rd day. ( like 2 days no wash, wash on 3rd or over night on the second day) i always had atleast enough.

I had 36 prefolds and 6 covers. It was perfect for us to do laundry every other day. Next time I want to add some swaddlebees simplex for the convenience at night and in the diaper bag, but 36 was a great number.

My i-devices are out to get me, please excuse mistakes.

Re: How big was your newborn stash?

I had 60 diaper changes--prefolds, few fitteds, flats, AIO, Pockets. For me it was the perfect amount. I easily went through 12- 14 diapers a day for DD. I did not want to be stressed about getting diaper laundry done so for me a 4 day supply was a must. The flats were the last used (not my favorite) but I was glad I had them as some weeks I could get the laundry done but not folded/put away.

Re: How big was your newborn stash?

I have way too many, I'm sure. I think we have about a dozen+ fitteds, a dozen prefolds, 10+ NB pockets and over 2 dozen AIOs.

Yep, that's a lot.

Re: How big was your newborn stash?

24 preemie prefolds and 36 small flats, along with 6 newborn sized covers. I started out with only two covers that really fit her, so I was having to hand wash them in between uses. I would have definitely needed 36 prefolds if I was wanting to only use them. Back then I was new to CD and hadn't discovered just how much I would come to love flats back then.

I had 1 bummies super brite(fit the best on my 6lb dd), 4 Rumparoos preemie to newborn covers, and a thirsties duo cover size 1(that took a long time to fit well since she was so small)

Re: How big was your newborn stash?

I will have

12-18 nb simplex aios
12 flats
12 prefolds
4 xs thirsties
1 size 1 thirsties duo

If I only wind up getting 12 aios I may get 12 more flats and 2 more covers.

I only had a few BG, one grovia and one blueberry because I was afraid I wasn't going to like CD. I love them! totally regret not buying more!

Re: How big was your newborn stash?

I had about 3-4 dozen diapers in my nb stash. My ds would sometimes go through up to 21 diapers in one day!!
