Snaps

How easy is it to convert to snaps? I have 10 BG AIOs that I'd like to eventually convert rather than just replacing the aplix. They're open in the back so I'm thinking it would be similar to converting a pocket diaper not a typical AIO.

Re: Snaps

It's super easy to do. I got snap pliers on ebay for around $10 and have had no problems converting the 3.0 aios to snaps

Did you just follow the layout of the snaps on a BG with snaps to know where to place them?

Kamsnaps.com has a tutorial and template to use for placement. Its not that hard, but it's tricky for the snap novice. The lining is not stretchy and can pucker and misalign if you don't keep the fabric taut. It is doable though!

Kind of. The snaps on a BG are all spaced out an inch. I used the thread marks from the aplix as a guide and centered a ruler on the front. I lined up a half inch mark with the middle rise snap and made a mark at each inch outwards and it lined up fairly well to what the snaps are on a snap BG.
