Re: Anyone cloth diapered twins?

For a newborn I would want 36 changes, so for twins double that to 72 - you are actually pretty close!

I would say 72 newborn diapers and 12 newborn covers
and 60 one size diapers and 12 one size covers.

You have a lot of sized in there, but you also have 3 dozen NB prefolds, and at least a dozen XS/newborn AIOs ... as your list isn't broken down by age and I have a child on me I didn't do the exact math, but you look to be in good shape!

Congrats on the exciting news!

Re: Anyone cloth diapered twins?

I haven't cd'd twins but I'm expecting twins in March, the only thing I may suggest is making sure you have enough TINY diapes and covers since they will probably be pretty tiny babes. I have a bunch of preemie prefolds ready and am looking for bummis super brite cover. Wish I could afford some lil' joes but oh well!

That seriously should be enough. I did a diaper service for the first couple of months. They sent 80 Pf's a week. I never used that many.

Congratulations!!
You will likely need a bunch of tiny diapers. after that I loved a stash that was all the same- so much easier to organize wash and put away for me all the same basically. when my twins were out of preemie and newborn we did bg pockets and goodmamas for fun with wool. it was perfect

I have 3 month old b/g twins. We started with cloth about a month ago so I can't speak for the newborn dipes. A variety is good to have. What fits dd does not work for ds. He is a super heavy wetter and she is small and needs trimmer dipes. I wouldn't buy too much of one style until you figure out what works for you and your babies. Congrats on the twins! They are a wonderful blessing!

i think you have enough too but i would need more simplicity after babies arrived cause it would drive me nuts to have a bit of everything. I would say, all pockets or all prefolds and covers. but I really like things to look tidy and organized and w 2 babies you will be all over the place as it is

Re: Anyone cloth diapered twins?

That looks like enough to me! Even though I had newborn diapers, I didn't start with cloth until they were about 6 weeks old and then the newborns were too small (well, they would still fit but they outgrew the absorbancy)because there was just too much going on. Seriously, nursing occupied my days and nights and more laundry was just not going to happen. But I'm sure a lot of twin moms have it more together than me and start from day 1 (or maybe they have dh's who will do diaper laundry) I've cd'd two sets of twins and I never really have big stashes. With our first set, money was so tight and I had a really small stash and just made it work. It looks like you have way more diapers than I ever had. It's great that you have so much variety so that you can find your favorites. Have fun and congrats!!
