Re: Pinterest inspiration

My first row is all my tiny house inspirations. They are minimal too for the most part. They tend to go hand in hand lol

Re: Pinterest inspiration

I don't really have anything specifically minimalist but I will share mine - there are a lot of cleaning/organising pins and some house decor ones
I noticed I have pinned a few of the same one's as pp's lol.

I love the photo of the kitchen cabinet organized with glass jars filled with baking items. I am unsure how practical that is, but it definitely looks lovely.

I haven't joined the world of Pinterest as I have been afraid of spending way too much time searching and daydreaming about things I don't have. There are so many great ideas out there, tho! How do you ladies limit your time on Pinterest, and not end up dissatisfied with your current home while looking at all these beautiful ideas?

Problem I have with so many of these kind of pictures is that they side rail me from minimizing, instead putting focus on cute organizing! I love the cute wall hangings, decorations, nick knack on bookshelves, playroom storage solutions, but in all honesty id rather have it gone than organized!

So true...what's the saying...? You can't organize clutter, you can only get rid of it!

haha, a lot of the time when I'm looking at pictures on there I can't help but notice all the clutter.

But I strive for a balance, too. I still want my house to have character and feel lived in. I like having framed photos and my son's artwork and other mementos of our life. I want our home to feel welcoming and warm, but without too much excess. I like nice decorations, just not when they overwhelm an area. I have a few areas that I allow to have some "clutter," because I like certain things. Like I have a place in my kitchen where I clip on things like thank-you cards, inspirational messages, etc. It limits how much I can have, but I still like to see them.

2,014 items in 2014?

Nothing specifically minimalist but lots of crafty ideas to use stuff around the house instead of buying new and lots of organizing help.
