You will get used to smaller portions. Your body might be tricked into thinking it's hungry if your used to eating 3500 calories a day and your trying to get down to 2000. Try eating several small meals instead of supressing. You'll be less grouchy. If you're eating 300ish calories very couple hours you won't need to supress your appetite. Whole grain quick oats sweetened with honey and cinnamin work for keeping me full in the morning. Then I have a banana, apple or watermelon an hour or so later if i'm starving.

You're probably not eating enough. And yes, appetite suppressants a lot of times are overloaded with caffeine or other stimulants. Unless you're competing and need to seriously cut body fat to a very low level (sometimes dangerous) then it's not worth the money. Depending on your BMR plus BF'ng I would consider upping the calorie for each meal.

I always say this but count your protein, carbs and fats in grams. Not just calories. If you're eating adequate amount on three macronutrients (say 40/40/20) then you can adjust easier than trying to grab anything 'healthy' which could also lead to not eating enough of the right nutrients. If anything eat more lean protein. Supplement with shakes if you need to. It's better than not eating and cutting too much which is only going to make you tired and start to slow your metabolism
