DC # shows no new info since 12/14

I bought some homeschooling materials from a mama back in December. She mailed them with DC on the 14th of Dec. They are still not here, and the tracking info only shows the initial scan of acceptance and that it should be delivered on Dec. 19th.

What do you do in this case?

if it was sent media mail, it could take a month or longer with the holidays...

Re: DC # shows no new info since 12/14

I talked to my PO and they said medial mail is 8-10 days.

Who is responsible? Should the seller have paid insurance (I wasn't offered insurance, nor did I think to ask for it)? I thought that only DC was required, so what happens in these cases? It doesn't seem right that the seller would have to pay me back my funds (nor likely) because she did send her item. But, it also doesn't seem right that I am out my funds and without the item.

i hear media mail can be pretty slow but that being said it is always on the seller to get insurance, they dont HAVE to but they are responsible to make sure that you get your stuff, not just mail it. So if you were to file with PP they would side with you, and if she didnt get insurance then shes out the funds

yes, that is what they say, but it is not uncommon for media mail to take a month or longer. it seems there is no hurry with mm or pp.

Also, the seller is absolutely responsible to get your stuff to you. If it doesn't, you should get a full refund via paypal. If you are feeling generous, though, you could offer to split the loss.

Hopefully it will get to you.
