FedEx delivering packages to the USPS?

Anybody dealt with this? The past 3 packages we have ordered were delivered to our local PO by FedEx. It's kind of annoying because they tend to deliver after our mail already arrived and I have to wait another day to get my package delivered. The PO wont allow me to pick up my mail either, we just have to wait. It sucks.

it's one of the cheapest FedEx options. I have dealt with that for a few of my amazon orders. It sucks but it saves the shipper money

I believe it's called "SmartPost." Lots of people seem to call it "StupidPost" instead, but I guess it's cheap.

thats what i would call it too. your lucky they bring it the next day.

they are supposed to deliver it to you first, and if you are not there to sign, then it goes to your post office. They are supposed to leave you a not saying they attemped delivery, and that it will be at the PO. Then leave a second note 5 days later.
But we didn't get either and I was home the day they "attempted" delivery. We didn't know they were at the PO till we called and complained about not receiving them. the post office told us about it when we stopped to pick it up and appoilgized for leaving the packages there for so long.

Re: FedEx delivering packages to the USPS?

UPS always delivers to the PO here unless the box is too big. Our PO will let me go pick the stuff up but we live in a small town so maybe that makes a difference. I usually just wait but sometimes I want my stuff that day. It isn't a big deal to me other than knowing to expect an extra day for delivery. FedEx always delivers to the house though - I've never had them drop anything at the PO.

Every time FedEx is supposed to deliver my package to the post office, it gets lost in transition. I don't know if it's the fault of FedEx or USPS but they can't transfer packages without losing them first.
