I loved my LG FLer...it has the sanitary cycle & internal water heater, but not steam or water plus; it's about 5 years old.

I had good luck running a delicate cycle, no detergent (wash water temp varied) as a prewash, then (like a PP) a regular cycle w/ hot wash/cold rinse w/ soil level set to high & the extra rinse option. I religiously use HE detergent & prefer All F&C or the Sears brand fragrance-free powder. I had better luck using more detergent (usually 1/2-3/4 the amount recommended for regular wash). I played with other additives at times, including oxy, washing soda, vinegar, & bleach, but don't have a particular preference for any of them. Like a PP uses, check & see if the bulky setting (I think mine is the "Comforter" setting) uses more water than regular wash...I didn't know that at the time, but that might make a difference as well. I used my sanitary cycle from time to time as a little mini-strip for my fitteds & inserts; I did it every few months. GL!
