Easy way to sew cloth wipes?

What is the easy and quick way to do that? I have some (around 50) flannel cotton squares (8 by 8in approx). Do I have to hem the fabric? Or zigzag stitch? (How wide the stitch?)? (I don't have a serger)
If i dont hem it will unravel, correct?
TIA!

(I Have flannel cotton squares that I cut a year ago from old receiving blankets (was motivated to use cloth wipes) but they are still untouched. Now as I'm expecting another baby and DH agrees with cloth wipes, I want to use cloth wipes)

You can zigzag stitch, you'll get fraying but eventually, they won't fray anymore. You can just cut the loose threads off as it frays. Also, you can sew two squares together turned and topstitched.

I zig zagged in a tight stich. There weren't any threads that really frayed

I'm not great at sewing, but I just sewed them together, turned, and top-stitched mine. Easy, and they've been working great.

Thank you ladies! I'll try to sew two together and turn and topstitch. There is nothing to ruin, right?

That's what I do! Easy! They look nice and I like using 2 layer wipes much better than one, especially flannel
