I was actually reading an essay about this today. The author is part of a European think tank on digital technologies in society. She said RFIDs are a particularly frightening concept in that you can't control access to the information on them - and even if you were comfortable with corporate, private or state knowledge of your intimate information, they are legible across state and national borders - so you'd be relying on the ethics of privacy in other societies as well.
