Re: Tell Me About Your Early Miscarriage (~7 Weeks)

I miscarried my first at 6 weeks. Spotting turned into red bleeding which turned into cramping.

Next pregnancy I spotted for 11 weeks and gave birth to a healthy baby girl.

Next 2 pregnancies, nothing out of the ordinary.

I'm pregnant again and at 8 weeks had a HUGE gush of bright red blood and thought for sure I was miscarrying again--except I didn't have any cramping. Went to the ER and it turned out I had a chorionic hemmorage (went away about a month later). I kept spotting until it went away.

Not knowing was the worst part for me, so it was worth going to ER and getting the U/S. If I hadn't, I would have been tortured with this last bleeding episode that turned out to be "nothing".

Good luck mama. Fingers crossed.

Re: UPDATE 1/13 - HEARTBEAT! Tell Me About Your Early Miscarriage (~7 Weeks)

This thread has been somewhat comforting to me, especially the update and the post from BESMama.

When I had a miscarriage at 6 weeks, it started with spotting when I got up to pee in the night and by morning it was full-on bleeding, like a period. That evening I passed a small amount of tissue, which looked like the remains a spherical membrane covered in blood--no baby (it was probably a blighted ovum). By the next day, the bleeding had tapered off, and 2 days later, when I went for what should have been my first prenatal appt, the doctor said I had no signs of pregnancy and I was not currently miscarrying. I was sent to u/s to confirm my uterus was empty.

Last night, at 11w pregnant, I noticed spotting when I got up to pee. Fortunately, it has faded since I got up this morning, but I have had severe diarrhea and one small dark red clot. I will not be able to see the doctor until tomorrow, so it was reassuring to read a few of these stories, as I said.

Re: UPDATE 1/13 - HEARTBEAT! Tell Me About Your Early Miscarriage (~7 Weeks)

oh that is great news!

I had 3 m/c due to SCH (my 1st m/c we saw the hb 3 different times)...this time my dr put me on baby aspirin and I did have one bleeding episode at 5.5wks but it had no clots so I was still optimistic. I had an u/s on Thursday and there was baby and a heartbeat! Measuring right on time too.

it can be so nerve wracking when you've had a loss and then get pregnant again. Every twinge and discharge has you rushing to the bathroom to check for blood.

eta: come join us over in the August DDC...there are quite a bit of us with Rainbow babies

Yes, yes! SCHs can resolve themselves! Just take it easy as much as you can I'm 23 weeks now and that SCH of mine is a distant memory. Hope your experience is the same!
