My Mood:
What to use for tall, squirmy baby?

I'm going to a babywearers group meeting soon and hoping to try out some new carriers. Can anyone help me figure out what to try?

My son is 11 weeks old. He's tall--nearly 24 inches at birth, still 99th percentile for height. He's showing a lot of interest in holding his head up and looking out at the world, but of course still unsteady. But he squirms a lot to see what's going on.

We've been loaned or given quite a few secondhand carriers, but nothing is perfect:

* So far, the Moby is the best bet. But he doesn't let me tuck his head in, so I have to dedicate one hand to holding his head.

* We have a ring sling, but I don't care for the uneven weight distribution.

* We've also been loaned a Snugli and two different Chiccos but I've been warned about the awkward carry and hip problems.

I'm especially interested in mei tais, Boba, Baby Hawk. Any other suggestions? Something that could easily be shared between me (5'6") and my husband (6'3") would be great.

I would go with a wrap and just hold his head if you are moving and he is awake then you can use the wrap to cover his head when he falls asleep. Or something like the Beco Gemini ir Pikkolo would be great too where you can narrow the bottom some if you need to.
