Any tips?

I've had a terrible cold for the last two weeks. I'm on the downslope. The thing that is driving me nuts are my ears. I feel like I'm under water. Any tips on how to get the last of this gunk to drain out of my head?

Re: Any tips?

I always take a decongestant when my ears feel infected/fluid filled like that. One or two doses usually makes a world of difference to me. I do that with my kids too, in fact I got the idea from our pediatrician when my oldest son had an ear infection that wasn't responding after 4 days on antibiotics. Now I give a decongestant at the first complaint about ear problems and can usually avoid the doctor/antibiotics all together.

My old doc recommended chewing some gum. Never tried it, but worth a shot, maybe.
