LOL...we have some friends who were grandparents too in their late 30s....so glad my oldest has no plans for kids anytime soon..she is 20, same age I was when she was born...I am just not ready for that to happen!

I made my step-mom a grandma at 34. She is only 12 years older than me though. She had a grandma role with my DSD when she was 30 too.

Well, a 28 year old could hypothetically become a grandparent, doesn't make them old, just means...well.

I'm closer to 50 than 40, and none of my friends (or I) are grandparents. Hm. C'mon, Oldest, I'm ready!

MIL is in her mid 50s and still gave us grief when we made her a grandma (even though DH's half sisters already had kids) because she wasn't "old enough" to be a grandma yet. She would pretend our DS was hers out in public sometimes. Not in front of us though. I totally embarrassed the pants off her once though when she accidentally did it within earshot and I called her out on it. It was nutty.

Although, on another note, it makes me sad how some in the current older generations of women reject the grandma roll. Not all of them, but many. Kids need loving grandmas who bake them cookies and knit them sweaters or sew them blankets or even just send them thoughtful care packages even if they only live 10 minutes down the road, not svelte "MeMes" who look stylish but can't bother to make their grandkids feel warm and fuzzy. Luckily my mom who is younger than MIL fully embraced the grandma role.

My oldest is 14 and I had him when I was 15! It makes me nervous! I stress safe sex all the time!

Lol my parents were young parents & grandparents too but I just don't think of myself as old enough to be a grandma! I'd be a great one though, because I love to knit & bake just like mine did.
