Do you have a swing for you baby? Are you happy with it?

And if so, which one do you have? Link or name is fine...I can google it.

We had a swing for DS, but we bought it (supposedly) gently used for pretty cheap and it worked "ok" but not great. It was the fisher price ocean swing. I hate to judge the company based on that one because it was used and didn't work that well. It also ate batteries like CRAZY because it wasn't one of the ones that plugged in.

We are probably looking at the full sized swings, not the travel swings.

No set budget, but most of the full sized ones I see are in the $130 - $150 range which is fine. Nothing that is substantially more than that since all babies don't even like swings so who knows if DS2 will or not!

My only real requirements is that it can be plugged in (and not use batteries) and that it can swing side to side vs just back and forth.

I absolutely love my Fisher Price Ocean Wonders one, and my Fisher Price Baby Papasan swing. We use rechargable batteries in it. I just have 2 sets of batteries and swap them out.

We do one swing upstairs in my bedroom (baby sleeps in it) and one downstairs.

We had the Bright Starts Ingenuity swing. My baby hated swings (and bouncers and all other entertainers for that matter), but I loved the swing. It plugged in, but could also run on batteries.

Re: Do you have a swing for you baby? Are you happy with it?

I didn't have one at all with DD1, who was a very difficult, fussy, reflux baby. I got a "portable" swing for DD#2, who also had reflux. She didn't love it, but then why would she since it only went back and forth and probably made her reflux worse? I didn't even think about it...anyway, so I got the Fisher Price Cradle and Swing for DD#3 due in February. It has amazing reviews, and you can use it front to back or side to side, and it plugs in, so you dont' have to put batteries in it at all. I was surprised at how large it is when it arrived (ordered online), but it seems amazing! I can't wait till I have a baby to actually put in it. For now the girls and I have just played with it a bit with their baby dolls.

We hve a fisher price papasan little lamb swing and really like it. We also have a fisher price ocean wonders space saver which my son loves!! The vibration mode doesn't eat batteries as quickly as the swing and music mode

We have the Fisher Price ocean swing and love it! It was a lifesaver with 2/3 kids. We didn't use the lights, music and mobile every time, just occasionally, so I didn't feel like it went through batteries THAT fast.

We had this one for my last two and I loved it! It was great that it could plug into the wall and didn't burn up batteries. It goes front to back or side to side and we use that thing for hours and hours at a time and its still going strong after two kids!
