Re: S/O Do you/SO eat set meals or graze?

We both work outside the home, so the majority of our meals are set meals due to work demands on work days.

On days we are home, we make 3 meals, but it is up to us if we decide to eat a grazing amount versus a larger amount. There are healthy snack options in the house for between meals as well.

Re: S/O Do you/SO eat set meals or graze?

I make a dinner or DH does every night, and I do eat breakfast and/or lunch but not at set times. Or sometimes I just snack off and on.

We usually graze rather than do lunch & usually do dinner rather than graze. I could care less if the LOs want dinner or not because all of our grazing is healthy. We just like the togetherness and story telling that comes with dinner time - no one actually has to eat the food (we can always graze on it tomorrow

Re: S/O Do you/SO eat set meals or graze?

Set meals for the whole family. They aren't always at the same time, but it is always planned and mostly together. (Sometimes we feed the kids earlier and eat alone later as a "date.") My husband can't graze due to his work schedule, but wouldn't anyway. (and he isn't here for breakfast and lunch.) I do often graze for lunch, but that is specifically because I can't sit down to eat when the kids do because of being their cook and server. I have 6 kids who are 7 and under. During meals they constantly need something (more food, often another sandwich that I have to make, or drink or whatever). If I'm by myself, I just can't eat with them most of the time. Most days, I do eventually get a actual meal that is lunch rather than a snack, but it is still usually "on the run" type of thing. When I worked, I ate set meals.

We do sort of graze for our afternoon snack. It's not a set time, but it's not a free for all for the entire afternoon either.

With 6 kids 7 and under including a 7 year old, twins who just turned 5, twins who are 2.5 and a almost 3 month old, I just can't let them graze all day. I need to cook for everyone at once. I don't have time or inclination to let them come to me at different times asking for food. I can't make eggs for one at 8, oatmeal for another at 8:30 and something else at 9. My kitchen is not a restaurant.

SO eats a lot so he grazes as well as eats set meals. I tend to eat only if my blood sugar is low plus a little breakfast and a bit of dinner.

We graze and eat as needed. It's always been like that. The baby is only 1, so it's not a big deal. But down the road I imagine we'll integrate more of a schedule into meals.

Re: S/O Do you/SO eat set meals or graze?

we eat whenever we feel like it so no set meals for our house. DH and I both work at home though so we have easy access to food at all times and we just eat when hungry. This especially started when we were losing weight and it was much easier to eat 6 small meals rather then 3 bigger ones because we were kept full and never got to the point of hungry.

We all eat dinner together most nights, but the rest of the day is mostly grazing.
The only rule is that the majority of it has to be semi-healthy. They are allowed things like pizza or corn dogs if we have them, but not allowed to eat an entire batch of cookies throughout the day, just because they sound better.
