Re: best natural shampoo for kids

Part of the equation depends on what kind of water you have, and what type of hair your kids have. Where I am the water is really hard and so I can't use soap-based products as they turn to sludge. So no Bronners (or Aubrey, which is usually my fave) here.

We use California Baby and Weleda. They are both awesome.

Uh-oh! I just splurged on Aubrey, and I have really hard water .

I just got Burt's Bees baby shampoo + body wash. It says tear free on it. I love the smell!

I'm IN LOVE with Shea Moisture products. They are organic and work really well. They have a baby line, but I use the regular shampoo and conditioner on my kids (6, 4. & almost 2). I use the Yucca and Baobab 'cause that's what use for myself. You can find it at some Target and Walgreens, but also at both of their websites.

Re: best natural shampoo for kids

I've been using Earth Mama Angel Baby. It's made from castile soap. All natural, no toxins. Hair ends up feeling yucky, unless you use ACV (or Dr. Bronner's hair treatment) but we like it. And my daughter smells like a yummy creamsicle.

We use California baby calendula for my youngest 3 (the ONLY thing that works for my littlest) and my older 2 use the Avalon organics lavender that dh and I use. We use Dr. Bronners for bodies once past the baby shampoo point. I found that the Cali baby works best for my kids sensitive skin and doesn't dry them out as much as Dr. Bs. We have super hard water and there is no way that castille soap would work for hair here.
