Do you worry over runny noses?

My dd has been sick for about 3 weeks now. First was a cold and she was almost better but extended family brought the flu with them at Christmas and she got that pretty bad. Doing much better down to occasional cough, but still has very runny/snotty nose. She's acting 100 percent better aside from that. Just wondering if runny noses worry you at some point? Dd is 1 year old and has been sick less than a handful of times.

If it's just a runny nose, I don't worry.

My kids frequently have runny noses for a variety of reasons, including allergies. I usually do not worry unless it turns green, is accompanied by a fever, and see that they are in pain or complain of pain in their sinuses.

Clear and runny, not a problem. That can be allergies. Colored or accompanied by cough, fever or other symptoms- I don't want to be around you.

I have four kids and when one gets sick, it's several weeks before we're rid of it in the home. I do not like others to dismiss their kids colds and come over. I get that it's not life threatening but I still don't want it.

Sorry for the rant. :/

Nope, if I did I would be worried all the time. They always seem to have one.

Hey I am with you! The whole reason she got sick first was from being around her 2 year old cousin who was apparently sick but no one informed me of this until they found out he had bronchitis! I was not a happy mama.

Her discharge is not all clear, a lot of it is but still having some gunky yellowish snotty discharge. It just seems to be taking it's dandy time clearing out of her fully.

She is of course due for a booster shot that we didn't do at her yearly 2 weeks ago because she was sick, they wanted me to schedule it while we were there and I was like why don't I call once she is healthy...good thing as would have ended up cancelling that appt.

I don't worry if it's clear. If it's yellow or green, I keep them home.
