I've got roughly 6 more weeks, but the more I look at it, the more I think it's turning into a boy. Plus, deep down my gut feeling has been boy & I was right about DS.

Re: July 2013 Chat: Jan. 9-20

I got nothing on the guess the gender picture.

I am enjoying reading all of the updates here. We go for our "big scan" Feb 6. Hoping to find out.

I am struggling emotionally. I know it's hormones, but I get weepy or angry about every little thing and sometimes nothing at all. I'm having a hard time feeling connected with this little one as I am never completely sure whether it's my baby or my intestines kicking me. I've had "phantom kicks" since after DS2 was born. And I'm having nightmares about miscarrying.

Sorry to be a debbie downer. I am not used to being this out of control with my emotions!

On a positive note, DD (5.5yo) has really been loving towards me more than usual since she found out. She comes and loves on me or my little belly all the time. She tells me I'm "delicate."

Aww Melissa, (hugs). These hormones are nuts.

Carly - congrats! That's so exciting! What does Logan think?

Leah - we find out Feb 8th, at 19w2d

He went along for the ultrasound this morning (we let him play hookey from school, lol) and he thought it was so neat seeing her doing "acrobatics" on the screen.... he's very excited... I guess Lee and I talking about wanting a girl rubbed off on him because he kept saying for weeks now that he wanted a sister!

Well one of your guesses has to be right.

I am sorry your having a hard time. I have those days every now and then. And I found out that my baby's placenta will be falling forward (uterus was still tilted backwards at last scan on friday) so I am not likely to feel kicks really well for a while. It does stink that we can't just open a window to make sure everything is okay every now and then.

Your lucky to have an understanding child. My son tries (he is 4) but he is 110% boy and therefore a bit rough.

carlycurry - Congratulations on the little girl!!

AFM - I am waiting for my Peri to call me about the pills. I was hoping that I wouldn't have to be nauseas today too. Guess that is too much to ask for. Tomorrow I am going to the oncologist with DS and we both have to wear masks because of the flu outbreak. Really not looking forward to that with DS but I do what I have to. Decided to not have my port accessed to make the appointment a bit shorter. Will have it accessed when I go in for my OB appointment on the 12th of February.

Oh, that must have been disappointing, Leah. I hope she/he cooperates tomorrow! I'm a bit nervous about baby cooperating when we go. Since it's an anatomy scan and not just for gender, we don't get to reschedule if it doesn't show us the goods.

Sorry to hear about all your nausea, Jennifer. I Don't know your whole story but it sounds like quite a journey. Hopefully you will have relief soon!
