Diono ultra mat vs. Britax kick mat
Which do you prefer for protecting seats against rear facing feet? They will be used with Diono R100's if that matters.

I would save a few bucks and use an old towel or a t-shirt but I'm cheap like that.

I don't know what the cost is of the two you are looking at, but we have 3 Prince Lionheart protectors and we have been happy with them!

Re: Diono ultra mat vs. Britax kick mat
The under the car seat mats are not recommended. They can mask a bad install and leave your child at risk in an accident when the grippy material on the mat does not stand up to crash forces.
I would go with a mat that does not go under the seat like the Diono mat does. Between the two I would go with Britax but a quick search of Amazon shows the Brica branded ones in a 2 pack for $5 cheaper than the 2 pack of the Britax. ETA: I realize that Diono says their mats are fine with their seats, etc, but in my experience as a CPST I always get a more secure installation without the mats. I hear many parents admitting to using the grippy material on the mat to get what they think is a tight installation when in reality, that grippy material is not going to hold the seat in place in an accident. There are things I don't do exactly by the books with my child like he has a DVD player attached to a headrest for him to watch, etc but I would not use an under the seat mat for my child.

Re: Diono ultra mat vs. Britax kick mat
We just take shoes off if they are wet or dirty. I don't use anything that didn't come in the box with my seat.

Diono also still makes several other after market products I'd never use. The Mighty Tite comes to mind.

Britax ones don't interfer with the seat at all. They just lay on the back seat.
