Sept 2013 weekly chat, jan 14-20
Hello, all! We haven't ever started a chat thread, so I figured now is a good time!
QOTW- what type of birth are you planning? AOTW- we are planning our first home birth, I am pretty excited! Well I woke up with a migraine this morning, complete with nausea. My oldest had speech therapy this afternoon and my dd1 had ballet this evening. I got to rest some this morning though since dh didn't have to work until 12, and it got me functioning enough. I did lock my keys in the house when I was trying to get the kids in the car before dance. That's what spare keys are for though. And I'm 7 weeks today, and I got my first mw appointment scheduled for feb 4. Chelsea mom of 4, from my phone

Re: Sept 2013 weekly chat, jan 14-20
I am planning a hospital birth, moving to Indiana at around 16-17 weeks to live with my family when my DH is deployed.
Feeling really bad at night here, but other than that I am doing okay! Started my stash already which is super fun. Trying to be thrifty this time around though :/ My first appointment is Feb 23th but I am only 6 weeks tomorrow. I told them I thought it was to early but they seem to think I am further along b/c of my LMP. I told them that was wrong though.

QOTW- I was hoping for a homebirth but our current insurance won't cover it
So bummed!! We can't afford a homebirth without the insurance covering some of it so we will have a hospital birth. AFM: I just set up our first appointment for Jan. 23rd. So excited to get the ball rolling! So far the only symptoms I've been feeling has been extreme exhaustion. It usually hits me at the kids nap time so I've been taking a nap too I think I'm 4w1d today.SS that you ladies are not well! MS stinks! I'm sure it will hit me soon enough and I'm not looking forword to that at all.

Hi ladies, Glad this thread was started... I was thinking I should do it but hadn't had time.
AOTW: I had a c section with my first set of twins (they were both breech) and a vbac with Ezra. I am hoping to do a second vbac with these babies but am not sure how my dr is going to feel about it though... I may have to change my doc.

I am not sure what type of birth I am planning. I haven't 100% decided. I had a hospital birth with #1 & #4 (due to him being a preemie), and homebirths with #2, # 3, & #5. I used the same homebirth midwives with #3-#5 and they always let me pay them in trade. I am in a new state and don't know any homebirth midwives out here. I cannot afford a homebirth without either insurance covering it (which it doesn't) or the midwives willing to work a trade, so I might be out of luck. There is a hospital based CNM practice that I've heard good things about and it would be 100% covered by insurance so I set up my 1st appointment with them for Jan 28th. We'll see how that goes, I'll be able to make up my mind once I meet them and everything.

I've been wanting a home birth since I got home with DD. I had an awful experience in the hospital and don't want a repeat. I don't have insurance so we're planning on using a midwife. We just want to get the majority of the cost saved up before we start seeing her. So a couple more weeks. I've already been in contact with her.

Re: Sept 2013 weekly chat, jan 14-20
Hi ladies, I will give a cautious shout out and introduction. I'm Jamie and just tested positive on Tuesday with a very UNEXPECTED Surprise #3. DH is not happy and super stressed although we will be fine. We both WOH, I'm a teacher and he is an engineer. Timing isn't great for this one b/c it looks like my EDD will be Sept. 21 based on a LMP of Dec. 15th. Sept. 21st is 4 weeks into a school year, but I'm excited to have a fall baby. I always wanted one but never would have planned it because Spring babies make more sense for teachers.
I want DH to be okay with this baby. He always said he was done at 2 kids but mommy instinct told me we would have 3 and our family wasn't complete after just two. I would have waited a while longer but God and a condom failure had other plans. LOL AOTW: I have a OB I have used for my last 2 and I love him. We will be doing a hospital birth, but I'm really hoping to go med free this time. I had pit and an epi with my last two although they were perfectly healthy!

Jumping in here. I'll have a hospital birth. I'm super high risk and will be delivered by my MFM team, who I'll start seeing once my fertility docs release me. I was on bed rest with DS for 22 weeks. Hoping to avoid that this time around since now I have a very active kiddo and a deployed hubby.
