Maternity Leave

Question for those Mama's that work out of your home or in. Have you ever not taken Maternity leave and gone straight back to work? I was planning on taking 3 months of maternity leave starting February 1st. I'm now a Director for an in home party sales company and if I take maternity leave in February I loose out on the opportunity to earn a large one time bonus based on my recent promotion. I'm now unsure of what I should do.

It depends on how demading your job is? Is your work in home or out of home? Can you keep the baby with you?

I WOH full time. I took 8 weeks. There is no way I could have gone back to work right away. Physically or mentally.

I'm lucky in that I can set my own hours. I typically work about 20 hours a week. And an additional 6 of those hours are done outside of my home doing parties at my customers houses. So although baby could be with me at home. I wouldn't be able to the bring the baby with me on the two nights a week I'm doing parties.

Could you work Feburary and then take a delayed maternity leave? Or work from home in February? Or part-time?

I was back at work within 2 weeks of having my second, and six days of having my third. I won't likely take more than a couple of days off with this one as well.

I was back to school 6 days after DS2 but only for a week. Then back full time at 5 weeks pp.
