Don't know about your district in CA, but I miss the fact that mine offered short term disability insurance.

Out here at my district in CO, maternity leave is unpaid. You have to exhaust your saved-up days and then hope for the best!

Yes, there are!

I did HS RSP/SDC in CA - mish mosh of subjects in the beginning, but largely math.

In NC I did MS math in a pullout class as well as in co-taught classes.

Here in CO I do pullout math classes for moderate needs students. We used to do co-taught math here, but they decided to discontinue that. I wasn't a huge fan of that decision, but that's where I'm at.

I have been teaching for 15 years. Majority in first grade, but the last five years in sixth grade teaching English and Social Studies at a Middle School. Have my masters in Instructional Technology.

I am a Kindergarten teacher. I am in my 7th year teaching. I have always taught Kindergarten and first grade. I am also in a Master's program for educational administration.

I co-teach with the special ed teacher. We have 25 students (one just moved) and 7 have IEPs. We actually have a co-teaching model regular ed/special ed for each grade level 2-5. This is the first year. I do have more students than the other teachers on my grade level. My co-teacher isn't with me all day (like the other grade levels) but that will change on January 23.

I've been teaching for 16 years; I have two boys 13 and 6. The 6 year old is a kinder student at my school and my dh just started substitute teaching there.

I've taught in FL, NY, FL again and now NC.

I've always done sdc mild/moderate. The first 6 years were self contained and the past 3 years I've team taught with another sdc teacher. I did math and science at the intermediate school and then switch kiddos with the other teacher and do it again. At the middle school I'm doimg language arts and science amd switching with another sdc teacher again. I really like doing that.
