you can wash it with fabric softner. That should work pretty good. I wouldn't lanolize like it wool.

i second the dryer sheets. they coat it in a way kinda like lanlolin coats wool.

I think lanolin is only good on animal fibers...I second the dryer sheets!

If you want to make your fleece covers more water resistant, wash them with your regular clothes and dry them with dryer sheets. Lanolin is only for wool.
