TTC after Testicular Cancer

My husband was diagnosed with testicular cancer in october 2012 and had an orchiectomy a few weeks later. We are ttc and was wondering if anyone else has a dh that has had testicular cancer. It has only been two months but I am starting to get a little worried.

Did he receive chemo as well? Dh was diagnosed with stage 3 in 1/13. The drs all have said the orchiectomy typically doesn't affect fertility but the chemo (esp the drugs used for testicular) do a huge number on fertility.

We decided against chemo. He was stage 1 so it was optional. He has had a lot of CT scans and that is a ton on radiation. We were not done having kids and thought the chemo would be too invasive.
