#1 was 9 pounds even
#2 was 7 pounds, 8 ounces
#3 was 8 pounds, 4 ounces

My first and third pregnancies were much closer in experience than my second; horrible morning sickness (had HG w/ #1), back/hip issues, and general craziness.

Mine were all about the same. 8lbs 2oz and 8lbs 5oz for both girls, both born at 40w 1day. 7lbs 14oz for my son who was born at 38.5 weeks. If he had been born at 40w 1day he would have been somewhere around 8lbs 5oz. (Maternal age is a factor too I think? Mine were born at me being 28, 31, and 36.)

Re: How did first child's birth weight compare to your other children?

DD - 7lbs 9oz at 38w 6d
DS - 5lbs 15oz at 37w 6d

So my second child was significantly smaller than the first though he was a week earlier. Even if he would have been able to stay in the womb a week longer, I doubt he would have been 7lbs. DD is now super tiny so I am surprised that she was so big at birth.

Sounds like my daughter. She was 10lbs 7oz at birth and she was all over big. She's now newly 5 years old, and a whopping 33lbs at the heaviest.

Re: How did first child's birth weight compare to your other children?

DD (first born) was 9lbs even, DS was 10lbs 3oz. With DD, I had a nearly full stash of newborn dipes that only fit her for a week. I managed to squeeze DS into ONE generously-sized newborn fitted, for about two days... Newborn clothes were practically non-existant in our home.
