I guess I'm not understanding how wool is waterproof. Do you put wool covers over snappied or pinned pre folds? Do they get damp on the outside when wet or do you get compression leaks? How do you wash? How often do you wash?
Thanks!!

Oh and what is lanolizing?

Wool is not waterproof until you lanolize it. Lanolin is a wax type secretion produced by the sheep that can make it water resistant. It's really easy to lano wool....you can buy special wool wash, or make our own using Lansinoh from target. Wool is super fabulous for nighttime when worn over a fitted diaper!

That makes sense. How often do you have to lanolize?

I do it whenever I wash..,so every other week. It's easy! Zany zebra has a good page and simple recipe for wool wash. I'm always mobile so I can't get the link right now, but its easy to search.
