Small newborn photos/reviews

I don't have a ton of pictures, ds hates having his diaper changed, so I typically fed him right after, instead of snapping pictures of a screaming baby. But I kept my cell with me, and if he was happy, I snapped a few photos. Sorry for the quality, it's been cloudy here, and my cell doesn't do well in low light.

Ds was born at 36 weeks, at 6 lbs 6 oz. He still has jaundice in these photos. He went down to about 5 lbs 13 ounces in these photos.

First, nb woolies. How cute is this?

Graham Bear Wear on Etsy. These fit perfect, and still at 7 weeks and 9ish lbs fit perfect. Wonderful diaper.

Goodmama bright. My, and dh's FAVORITE. Super absorbent, wonderful fit from 5 lbs to now. Soft, cuddly, adorable. Worth every penny.

Blueberry bamboo. Meh. They fit great right away, it was his coming home from the hospital diaper. Not very absorbent, and just felt insubstantial. I don't know why I didn't like it, I just didn't.

RSD newborn AIO. Sigh. I'm torn about these. They are SO CUTE! but the legs gapped. And now that he's chubby and the legs fit, they leak after one pee. It just wasn't a good fit, but man, oh, man, they are so cute.

Swaddlebees Simplex. I know they're a huge favorite here, but I really disliked them. A lot. first of all, the fit was horrible. They fit better now, but definitely not for small babies. The legs gapped really bad. Secondly, the birdseye inner bunches up something awful, and the snake like soaker folds in half and bunches, so there is this tiny scraggly looking thing that doesn't stuff back in the pocket. Not a fan.

So, those are all the pics I have. I had other diapers, just no pics. Grovia, didn't love those either, even though they are super cute. They leak poo really bad, and don't fit small babies well. Ecoposh are great for larger babies, but not small babies. I use them a lot now.

Covers, love Bummis, like Thirsties, hate RaR newborn.

Little guy is crying, but that's the gist. On a small newborn, AIO's bad, fitteds good.

I bought a custom slot on Hyena Cart, I'll have to look it up because I'm terrible with names. I dyed the yarn, and she did the knitting. She did a great job! It has this adorable little hoodie, too. I was planning on pestering her for some short sleeved shortie rompers for ds's 3-6 month wardrobe.

Thanks for the pics. I love the rainshine designs so I am on the fence about getting some. My babies tend to be on the small side around 5lbs.

Did you have any lil joey's or xs bg aios. How did they fit?

I just washed ds's little joeys, I'll try to get a pic later in one! With dd, she was teeny due to being a preemie, we started using cloth when she came home from the nicu around 5lbs. Our favorites were Nana's bottoms and prefold/covers. Had a few Blueberries that were a good fit too

Adorable pics! I have to say I REALLY disliked the Simplex as well. They were among the few new things I got for this baby and the very first things I sold. They felt rather...cheap especially in comparison to a super soft fitted and some woolies.
