how to know when to go to the next rise setting?

So my diapers are still fitting on the smallest rise setting on my one sized dipes. However I am getting leaks. I just stripped them with RLR so I don't think that it is repelling. If the diapers are to small will they leak just as if they were too big? I am mainly having trouble with my bumgenius freetimes sometimes 4.0's. any advice is appreciated!

Could you take a pic of your lo? It might help decide. Are you getting leaks out the top or in the legs? Legs could be absorption. Top is def that you're on too low of a setting.

yes if they are leaking you might need to go up in rise.

Sometimes you just have to try it out.
chubby thighs will move up sooner than stated ranges.

For my son it was red marks around the legs. Then I sized up and he leaked around the legs, so I sized down for awhile but did the waists looser. Before long his legs were red on a looser waists and the rise snaps were unpopping while i was trying to snap the waiste. And now the middle rise is perfect.

For me it is when I every time I pick my daughter up she gets plumbers butt. Never had a leak though.
