Most my bills are late..what do I pay?

Okay so I'm thinking this is a no-brainer but follow me on this. Oh and I realize I'm in deep caca and I don't need/want to hear anyone tell me how horrible I am or how I could have possibly let this happen. And I also don't need anyone telling me to change cell phone companies, drop the tv off etc to save money. I know how to handle all that..I've hung around here long enough LOL (I'm not trying to be a jerk but I just need to know which bills to pay right now).

Okay so here is what is late...

Regions CC 81
TV/Internet 80
Rent 545
Cell phones 160
Chase CC 72

Here is what isn't late

Amazon CC due 15th
Utilities due 17th
Amex CC due 25th

So I'm thinking first that I want to pay the bills that AREN'T late because I don't want anymore bills going late. But then again I need to pay rent and utilities first right? I don't want to let anything go over 30 days late..regions was due Dec 24th and tv/internet the 27th. I have a little over $400 which will pay my utilities and only about a thrid of my rent. Is that where my money should go?

You need to pay your rent first, imo. There's no point worrying about tv and internet etc if you don't have a roof over your head, kwim?

I would pay rent and utilities. I would leave the CC for last on the list (they only get paid after everything else is taken are of). They can make your life a pain by calling, but you need a place and heat and hot water to live.

Your credit cards, tv, phones can wait. They may charge you a fee. Your rent probably shouldn't be late. Utilities usually let you be a little late and charge you a fee. They usually say on the bill when you have to pay before they shut off. Also call your credit cards and talk to them, they may allow you some wiggle room (done this before).

Cell phone, somehow mine is always a month behind. It's really weird or maybe it's how they bill?

Most places will work with you if you just call them.

Take care of the necessities first. Rent. Heat. Electricity. Water.

agree with everyone else, I'd put the $400 to rent, first and foremost!

Not that it is ideal, but I know in some areas they can't turn your utilities off in winter. If that is the case, I say put it all to rent.

So pay all $400 to rent and none to utilities? I don't get paid again until the 25th and SO doesn't get paid til the 24th.

I'm not sure around here. Today it is like 68/70 degrees but next week its supposed to snow. Today is crazy warm..its usually in the 40's.

Rent, then utilities. Most ultilities won't shut off till you are a month+ overdue. Call them and ask for an extension. Actually, call every overdue bill and talk to them - keeping them updated often prevents turning off of services.

Definitely rent first, then utilities , credits last. Agree with pp, call and let them know.
