Yeah, give the utility company a call, they can set up payment plans where they take your balance and divide it by 12 and apply that amount to your bill every month for the next year until its paid off. BTDT!!

Ironic my rent is much higher (HCOL area sadly) but I'd never pay that for a mobile phone each month.

CC's are last, who cares if you are homeless if the CC bill is late

I would pay the $400 toward rent and let the landlord know when you will pay the rest. Then call the other late bills and give them a heads up when u will pay.

Pay rent first. Go down to the office and explain that you have $400 now and will have rest on the 24th.
Is this a monthly thing being way behind or just this month?
If it is just a crappy month and that is why you are so behind then maybe you could use the amex that is not late yet to cover the remaining rent and utilities.
