What does a PUL Allergy look like? How do you know if it's from PUL, elastic, etc? Anybody want to show pics of a PUL allergy?

Re: PUL Allergy

For my ds it looked like little hives/welts and a band of severe eczema where the PUL rubbed on his thighs. I don't share diaper photos of my babies but I'm sure there might be other threads on here to view.

My guy is having redness and bumps on his legs mostly where the PUL is touching. I'm wondering if it could be an allergy. We were in sposies for about 3 weeks and when we started with cloth again he's had these weird bumps and rashes.

Re: PUL Allergy

My 17mo was like that. We just figured he had eczema...then we went on a cloth break for awhile. We used 7th gen. sposies and every time we'd try going back to cloth he would immediately react where the PUL was touching him (even the outer of the diaper bothers his chubby legs). He is now wearing very soft wool soakers washed with unscented wool wash and GMD workhorses and so far so good. We destashed all our PUL and its either wool or sposies for us. I was actually quite sad to say goodbye to our BGEs!

Re: PUL Allergy

Sounds like a PUL sensitivity Have you tried fleece or wool? Also some LOs do better with a lined cover like GroVia, Softbums, or GreenLine

My guy is sensitive too. He breaks out in red blotches wherever the PUL touches his skin. He is also very sensitive to detergents (and a million other things) so I've had a tough time with used diapers even after stripping.

Re: PUL Allergy

My girls are both sensitive to PUL, we use all wool now and no problems.
