What does this mean?

I shipped a package in a Priority FRB w/ insurance and DC#. The info shows the package almost made it to her and looks like it is on its way back to me. They cannot make me pay to ship again can they (assuming it does come back)?

Re: What does this mean?

The lady at the PO said we would have to file a claim???....So just because you shell out $ for priority, dc and ins they dont have to be responsible? Guess one should just ship cheapest and pray it gets there, may have better luck

My problem with this is that if she paid postage, dc and insurance, and it was shipped in a post office provided box. If it doesnt make it to its destination and is returned, I dont think it should be her responsibility to REpay the shipping cost. I think the PO should be responsible.

It may not even come back to you. I had one that made it almost to me, then turned around and made it almost to the sender and ten made its way back to me. They said they may have missed it when it got to my stop or whatever.
But I have had one that I did have to pay for again. I had left off the apt number. So it made it all the way to the city and state, and the postman did not want to bother matching her address with the rest of her mail. ( not that it was his job to do so, but it would have been nice)

If you put the exact address that was provided I don't see how you would be responsible. If the address was correct post office should be responsible. But good luck with that one

Re: What does this mean?

I had this happend once it didn't come back to me instead it took a vacation around the states before finially arriving like 2.5 weeks late...
It was frustrating for both me as the seller and for the buyer.. Though it was a bit ammusing tracking through Paypal...
