Are Flats too big for newborns?

I am planning to give my friend some Hemp Babies Flats that I don't often reach for. I had used them sparingly as pocket inserts. Has anyone used them for newborn babies? Perhaps as a lay-in insert? Could you share photos of how you used them for a newborn baby? Her first baby was 9lbs, so most likely this second baby won't be tiny, either.

Definitely not too big. I'm on my phone or I would do it for you but there's a big thread called newborn kite fold if you search for it.

Not sure about Hemp Babies flats, but regular flats are perfect for a newborn.
My baby was 8lbs 9oz and they were perfect. I didn't take pics of him though, sorry.

Just curious if anyone has used flats to stuff pocket diapers or as lay in inserts for newborns? I am unsure if my friend wants to use snappis or pins.
