How often do YOU wash to prep?
Curious.
I am on my 4th wash/dry. Is 5 enough? Or 7 or 10??? Not prefolds, can't boil. Fitteds with snaps! |

Re: How often do YOU wash to prep?
I don't prep....I just wash once and then remember to change frequently when he's wearing the new diapers. But that's the lazy answer!

They don't leak, I just know I have to change a bit sooner. I mean they will absorb urine just maybe not night-worthy.

Re: How often do YOU wash to prep?
I've heard of people after the first wash or two throwing them in with other random loads of laundry to prep them faster. I did a lot of prepping the last week. A little curious to see what my water bill will be. Here is a suggestion after you take them out the dryer each time test one out by dumping water on it and see how fast it absorbs. If its slow, or repels keep going. I sometimes when boiling things throw it on a towel squish the water out and dump it on there wet, you can still really tell the difference while wet.

Re: How often do YOU wash to prep?
I do three times. Usually I throw them in with my other loads for a few days, picking them out of the dryer and putting them in with the next load. they are not fully prepped, but are good enough, and will continue to gain absorbency as I wash them after uses.
