Re: Chat Thread ~ Jan 13th - 19th

Well DS had Dr appointments yesterday and we were at the hospital for 4 hours, the main appointment(genetics) was 2 hours, then waited for an EKG, then waiting again in the lab. It was a long day by the time we got home! Today my students have finals and aren't allowed to leave class except for an emergency so I'm sure it'll be really quiet for me!

So I really want to start looking at nursing bras. My tummy is so high up that the wires hurt it. I tried on some regular wireless bras yesterday, but thought I might as well get nursing ones! I need a DDD, I was thinking of looking at the maternity store tomorrow while we're at the mall.
Hope everyone has a great weekend!!!!

This is how I felt for mine... and guess what? I was a bit high. So off to do the long test next week, and reducing my sugars and carbs. That bit is actually no fun... it's easy to remove a lot of the "extra" carbs I was enjoying but replacing those calories is prooving a bit more challenging. So between carb withdrawl and being a bit low on calories for a few days... I am one grouchy camper. I think I"ll do better next week when I've done my grocery shopping with the diet changes in mind and have more options.

I reminded my mw about the glucose test. So next thursday i'll do it. I'll be 30 weeks and i think i eat jelly beans. Eh, not too worried about it since ive not really had those issues before.

Chick from one street over invited ds5 over this am for a few hours so its just me and baby girl. Laundry and picking up so i dont have to do it this weekend.

Anyone have an increase in libido??? And also find dh body odor to be ultra stinky...... Its like an oxymoron!!!

I've been using milk so top up somewhat... i drink the lactose free stuff so it's a little higher in carbs then regular milk so have ot watch how much ihave. But I've discovered my favorite brand of lactose free actually has less it's that pure filtered stuff so the filter must catch the sugars formed by them breaking down the lactose. So I'll be switching to that even if it does mean a trip to a different grocery store since my regular one doesn't carry it.

I think I'll be okay once i get past the withdrawl (there's been studies that say carbs are as adictive as cocain) and get proper food in the house this will actually be a good thing... make me learn better eating habits. I mean really if i wanted to loose weight right now it'd be a breeze... problem is that i don't.

Yes. They are soooo addictive. I did a no carb diet after last baby.....carbs only from beans. It was sooo hard the first week. But i lost 20lb in 2 months and never gained it back. Slowly lost from that point on with my regular diet. Im a carbaholic right now, tho i try hard to eat my veggies and protein

I will be drinking coconut milk once baby gets here. Typically my babies dont handle dairy very well

Re: Chat Thread ~ Jan 13th - 19th

I just got a call from my midwife that I flunked the one hour glucose test, so next week I have to go in for the long one. This happened to me with DD too, and I passed the 2 hour no problem. I wonder why the shorter test causes me problems? Not looking forward to the fasting then choking down that nasty drink not to mention sitting in the lab for 2 hours. No cell phones or computers allowed at our lab - how else is a girl supposed to keep occupied while sitting still for so long? lol

That's harsh. Bummer. Maybe it takes your body a little longer to appropriately metabolize the sugar??

jelly beans! I'd do that one in a heartbeat!

I don't have too much of an increase in libido right now - interestingly enough, I had a major increase with all the boys, but not with Ruth and Elli - and then not this time much either. If Hiccup is a boy it's gonna throw all the "symptoms of gender" out the window for me, but it would be interesting

Oh shucks. Hope this one gives you no troubles. I always take along my knitting/crochet or a good book when I'm waiting in the lab for any tests.

AFM: Older kids had a great day skiing, Grandpa was happy and said they all did really good, and Levi and I had a good day at their house just relaxing We did run out and get stuff to make supper for everyone, as a thank you. Now we're home and I'm exhausted for some reason!
