Re: can you show me pics of your 5-7yo boys room
I'll try to take a few tomorrow. My son is 8, but his room has looked the inherently the same for several years now.

Re: can you show me pics of your 5-7yo boys room
thanks! my son turned 5 in october, and his room still looks very toddlerish. part of the reason is his reluctance to let go of some of his toys. I'm looking for ideas, I know very little about "big" boy things, lol

Re: can you show me pics of your 5-7yo boys room
I can't post pics now, but my sons' room looks the same as it has since they were born - Double bed, book shelf, dressers, quilt rack, bean bag chairs, rocking chair, rocking wooden boat, rug. We don't do toys in the bedroom (other than stuffies, which live in the corner with the beanbag chairs) and the decor hasn't changed. It's red, blue, and navy with sail boats. Our boys share the double bed. The room could last them through the teen years with only so much as touch up on the paint (light blue, but not pastel). My boys are 3 and 6 if that helps. If he isn't bothered by it, wait until he asks for something different. When our kids want to change their room, we will select a bunch of "approved" paint colors and let them choose what they want. Keeping the "decorations" to a minimum helps immensely, IMO.

My son is 5.5. His rooms is actually an office and super small but the other bedrooms are downstairs and I am not ready for him to be that far. He is a BIG hockey fan and the Oilers are our local team, hence the decor. It is actually rather clean tonight
