Lactation cookies and other suggestions....

Hi ladies! Question for you! I'm 25 days away from due date and want to try to BF this baby as he or she will be my last...I managed about 6 months with my now 5 year old but did have to supplement.

What is a good lactation cookie recipe? Can I make them now and freeze them? What other suggestions do you all have regarding establishing a supply, keeping it up and ANYTHING else you can think of :-)

Thanks!!

I don't think you need. I had issues with first but second was like I know what to do. I pumped and it over took my deep freeze. Just water And keep stews down and id you do exercise don't over do it without increase of food.

There are herbs like thistle , fenugreek..... mothers milk tea & mothers milk plus. Baby can get out more than pump......

Relax.

Eating oatmeal for breakfast helps. As pp mentioned, stay hydrated!
I do have a super yummy more milk cookie recipe that I can post after DS is asleep.

Most likely nursing and typing. Please pardon any mistakes.

I am wanting the lactation cookie recipe more because they don't really feed you food in the hospital, just a series of chemicals that they like to call food.

Re: Lactation cookies and other suggestions....

The best way to establish a supply is to nurse lots and lots. If you are having problems getting enough nursing sessions in, like if you have to go back to work, then pump as much as you can. Try to avoid giving a bottle until like 6 weeks old, if you can.

Past supply problems aren't necessarily an indication of future problems. But if you do have problems, my best results have been with extra pumping sessions, blessed thistle, fenugreek and goats rue.
