Wool in SoCal?

We found out last week that we're moving to Southern California this summer, right after the baby is born. I love wool and was planning on starting to stock up once we find out the gender next week but I'm not sure if I should get longies or shorties? We'll be at Camp Pendleton (if that affects your answer!)

Re: Wool in SoCal?

Sweet! My sister lives in camp Pendleton. . Sometimes it can get cold at night, even in the summer, so longies aren't a bad idea. Wool shorties would be perfect for daytime use.

We live in southern California too and use bumby longies/leggings and shorties. Bumby has silky wool leggings (with an extra hammock inside) that are perfect for warmer weather.

Eta: Some parts of SD get cold, some are more mild. For example, this winter my sister has ice on her car in the mornings, even though it warms up in the afternoon.

Re: Wool in SoCal?

I have always lived in SoCal, and lived in San Diego up until 2 yrs ago. I have always used wool with my little ones. Shorties are more breathable than AIOs & nylon, etc covers & it does get cool enough for longies, too.

We use wool in SoCal. In SD the weather can get very cool and breezy. I lived there for five years and summers are fairly mild compared to the rest of SoCal
