Re: Anyone use Stamps.com to print postage?

I couldn't find a good use for it since I could do all those same services for free at PayPal or USPS click 'n' ship. I only used stamps.com because I couldn't print a regional flat rate label from PP or USPS. (But I think you can do that at USPS... if I look harder).

You can have a FREE plan at stamps.com.... but you can only print package postage, not stamps for letters or postcards (I think).

It may be useful if you need a scale and then you can get one at a discount when you sign up. Plus they do give you a free kit with a few labels and opportunities to get some credit on your account ($5 or $10, I think).

No I'm not paying for that when I can do it all on pp or USPS for free.

I used it when the have a free credit for trying it and was not impressed. I had a hard time printing the correct postage format. But that was in the beginning and they may have worked out the kinks.
Still, for what I would use it for, I choose pay pal. It is cheaper and does basically the same thing.

I had a free $5 credit and used it to print custom stamps for my DD's birthday invitations. I wouldn't pay for that service though.

I use it for my business. We mail everything from regular envelopes to large policy packets, and then I ship packages when I sell stuff on here. It works well because we don't have to keep different stamps on hand. Each mail piece can be custom printed.

If I were just mailing packages and not a variety of first class envelopes, it wouldn't be worth the monthly fee. Package labels can be printed off the USPS web site.

Re: Anyone use Stamps.com to print postage?

Hi Famaza,

Please let us know if you have any questions about the Stamps.com software features or benefits. We offer a four week no risk trial so you may use our online postage service and determine whether or not it is a good fit for your mailing needs. After the trial period, the subscription fee to use Stamps.com service is $15.99/month. We provide $5 in free postage to use during the 4 week trial, a free 5 lb. digital scale when you sign-up (shipping and handling fee is required), along with additional postage coupons and a supplies kit.

@bcarroll9494, @ TalkinBoutMyGirl – The biggest difference between Stamps.com and PayPal/Click N Ship is the ability to print all mail classes as well as import order data from other channels. Stamps.com integrates with eBay, Amazon, Etsy, PayPal, and many others including shopping carts. The software will also post-back the Delivery Confirmation number to the source (only exception is PayPal). This will eliminate the need to cut and paste. If you’re able to use this feature, it will save you a lot of time.

With Stamps.com, you’re also able to:

* Print First Class Mail International labels
* Use an integrated scale via USB cord (no manual data entry)
* Add your logo to the shipping label for branding
* Insure packages up to $10,000 in value

However, you need to have the package volume to make up for the extra costs, since there is a monthly subscription fee to use Stamps.com.

Hope this information helps! Please let us know if we can assist with any other questions.

Thanks,
Divya

Still wasn't worth it for me. I've never needed to copy and paste anything and I also don't mind typing in the weight of my package. I don't see what I am missing since I've always been able to print anything I needed through paypal or usps.

I use Endicia.com (similar to stamps.com) and really like it. Totally worth it for a business that ships a lot and internationally but not worth it for shipping every once in awhile.
