Question Need Help with BG Organic

I have a couple of BG Organics (older model of Elementals) and am frustrated with the drying time and the fact that they don't always come clean first time through the wash.

The back and front each have a stitch across which attach the two inserts (actually one very long insert that's been folded in half and sewn in) into the diaper. The problem is the extra stitch that keeps the two inserts together because it is about 1 1/2 - 2 inches below the back stitch. This creates a space the width of two fingers that poo gets into that doesn't always come out in the regular wash. If you had/have this diaper, how did you handle this problem? Ideas?

Do you spray your diapers before putting them in the wash? IME, poop doesn't come out unless you do. We don't have a problem with that since we use disposable or a fleece liner for each change now. Also, I've found that the organic cotton really needs a soak, not a rinse to get really clean if you have hard water.
