Inserts for Newborn for Pocket diapers

I just scored 10x Blueberry Newborn diapers from a local mom but they come with the MF insert and already have a bit of the stinkies. I will strip them but looking for alternatives to stuff these mini pockets with.

Would flats be absorbent enough?
I have some bamboo fleece and zorb/hemp fleece i could also use, i just can't remember how much newborns pee lol.

Help

I had success stuffing newborn pockets with preemie prefolds trifolded. You also can get inserts pretty cheap if you order inserts through Alva. There is usually a coop going on somewhere and you can get them for around .80-1.00 each. HTH

I loved stuffing newborns with refolds. They seem to have the best absorbency, but a zorb insert would work great too!

I plan to use the inserts from my WillowPads mama cloth - I didn't care for them for AF, but the inserts are nice, thick hemp and perfectly-sized for NB pockets! I also have NB PFs and some homemade flannel inserts.

I used a trifolded washcloth for the first month and a half. Then I added a Kushies 3 layer cotton doubler for the next month.

My newborn pees a lot and I hate microfiber, so I just ordered some bamboo flats from Nicki's to use in my pockets - hoping they work well!

I'm planning on posting 8 newborn size microfiber inserts on FFS (6 of them are new never washed, BG brand, and the three are no brand and used but no stains) PM me if you are interested!

Re: Inserts for Newborn for Pocket diapers

I am wondering the same thing. My last two nbs were super soakers due to my milk supply. So, after the first week a nb prefold or fitted wouldn't hold them. They had to have infant prefolds, which are too large to stuff in nb/xs pockets. I may be stuck with snappied pfs and covers.

I plan on getting a ton of the Green line infant inserts. They are a bamboo/cotton blend flat that washes and dries really easily.
