Is she at home, or in the hospital? Does anyone have power of attorney in a situation like this?

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

Which Aunt is this? Not the actress aunt?

I'm so sorry she's going through this now.

Yes the actress aunt. She is bipolar.
I do not know if there is a POA Mel. She is not at the hospital yet, her friends are working on that now. It being a holiday weekend doesn't help.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

Oh, that sucks Jen. Definitely need to put someone else on the account, altho I can tell ya I tell them Raj is on the account all.the.time and they keep telling me only I can make changes. Best to have the login/password so you can at least have that, KWIM?

Now I really want bread.

So I went to a cardiologist, who put me on some supplements. He wrote down what doses and preferred brands, etc. I sent DH to go get, he brings back stuff that comes close but not exact. Then I read the bottles, they say one mg amount on the front and another on the nutrition label grid. On all three bottles of different brands. WTH. Do a generic search, get no answers. Go to the web site of one brand, and it actually has a question in the FAQ's, why does the number on the front not match the number on the back on the facts panel. It says, and I swear I am not making this up, the number on the front is the size of the pill, regardless of what is in it. So seriously, you go and buy, say a bottle of fish oil or magnesium or whatever, and it says 1000mg * 180 softgels on the front, it does not mean it has 1000mg of fish oil or whatever in it. It means that it is a 1000mg pill and you must read the back to know how much of whatever you want is in it. That is messed up and totally misleading, but apparently is the industry standard.

Oh carp...I'm so sorry.

Does she need you to go there?
Can you do that, Or would your mum be better?

Honestly I have no experience of bipolar other than what I've seen on the TV and that's really not much.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

I unloaded and reloaded the dishwasher...and now my kitchen really totally tidy.
Heiner put the kids clothes away today so tomorrow morning should run really well...with a bit of luck.

My brother will likely go and sort out the financial crap. Everything was in her bag. He and I know her system well so I can help remotely with that. My parents will go back if needed. She has an excellent network of friends that have been through this with her in the past. They all know it is better if she agrees to help rather than forcing the issue. She responds better to treatment if she goes on her pen rather than be committed which is difficult to get done on the weekend. Sigh.....just a mess.

Tomorrow I making stew and apple pie and we will probably go for a hike if it is dry enough.

Jerry is able to eat and keep food down. So that is good.

MH is napping and I should too.

Thankfully it is another day off tomorrow. I am so needing this 3 day weekend.

Re: Basically it's the weekend!

Thank goodness she has all that support Jen. I can't imagine. Goodvibes to her health and safety. And to everyone else's sanity, LOL.

This being a holiday weekend, even though the washer and dishwasher have been running all day long, my house is not so tidy. We were supposed to go skating today, but it was too windy this morning, and when we tried to check if the ice was frozen enough on the way back from the store...it wasn't where they put the ice pad last year. So best laid plans gone awry all day. I have committed to fully washing all the bedding, including blankets and comforters this weekend, and am on schedule for that. I forgot tho how doing that many loads of hot wash can totally mess up dishes and baths tho.
