3rd grade math help, please!

Dd1 is in a pull out math class once a week and I am totally stumped with one of the questions. Can anyone help?
What comes next in the sequence of numbers:
It's called Wacky Sequence:
31, 28, 31, 30, 31, 30, _, _, _, _, _, _.

So the 3 and 31 are supposed to be the last two in the sequence and you are looking for the 6 in the middle? Is that how the question is formatted?

Well, presuming that there are 12 spaces to write in, I would assume days in the months from Jan to Dec? Maybe?
