Not looking like Brittany Spears, is.

And as far as the poses, this is JUST what my DD was doing while wearing them... which I think just added to my discomfort.

...I am also just reading, these things have a 3 inch heel!? oh my wow!

I checked, and sure enough, you can't see the whole 3 inches, but it has the heel 3 full inches off the ground. That CAN'T be comfortable to walk that way....
Funny or ironic about half my sons pants are skinnys from the girls.department because they are cut so much slimmer and hea a skinny minny they look nice and aren't tight on Jim though but don't fall down

No way, not my style (for my kids or myself) but my DD is a girly girl and would love them. But they are inappropriate for a 6 year old, both style and height of heel. LOVE those pink cowgirl boots, though!!

I wouldn't. Too adult. But, your post is a wake up call of what I'll probably be up against in several years. Perhaps my DD will be more of a tomboy...

Nope. She could wear them around the house as dress up but not out of the house. I think they are too grown up for a 6 year old. honestly can't say I'd be comfortable with a 12 year old wearing them either. In my mind those are high school boots.

Last year we saw a lot of hooker boots (what my friend who does occasionally wear them calls them) in toddler sizes. I am talking the thigh high, heeled boots like Julia Roberts wore in Pretty Woman. My mouth dropped when I saw them. On the other side they had some very punk Doc Martin style combat boots (in girls) as well. I don't think those are really appropriate either.

I don't know why people are in such a hurry to put their kids in grown up or adolescent clothing. i always get sad when I look at the baby clothes we have out grown or cute little girl babish clothes. I love them but know dd is too old for them. I really don't get why the rush, there will be plenty of time for that later.
