I am glad you are heading to the E.R. I am not one to rush off to the E.r., but would be there fast if I saw blood in my child's vomit.

Thanks everyone, my husband went and got the older kids and then took the baby in. I don't have my license so it's just easier for him to go.

So I'm home with the older two. It's busy but not crazy apparently so hopefully they will be in and out quickly. I think our ped called the pediatrician on call to tell him we were coming so that should help.

Re: Blood in vomit go to ER or wait for Doc?

Just a little update, he's been admitted. They are worried about his lungs and want to run tests tomorrow. He's on oxygen and when he pulled it off accidentally one time his levels dropped immediately. Since he is a micro preemie and fought 2 bouts of NEC while in the NICU he has damage to his lungs which is quite common with micro preemies but makes them very vulnerable.

The oxygen seems to help with his feeding as he is finally able to take more than 1oz so that's good.

Hopefully it's nothing too serious and he can come home soon.

Sorry he was admitted, but happy he is being so carefully watched. Hopefully he can recover and come home soon.

Found a great article on RSV, realized some people may not know what it is.
