diaper interior for sensative tushies

Hi, I'm very new to cloth. In fact, my trial of cloth AIO and AI2s came today. My question is, what type of interior material would be best for my little girls SUPER sensative bum. I heard that poly. type materials absorb more, so there would be less dampness on her skin, right? But, cotton is very natural, so wouldn't that be better? I also see "hemp" thrown in the mix too. What's best, or is it dependent on the child?

Also, when I wash the different types, do I wash all the poly diapers together, and all the cottons separately?

Sorry for all the questions...so much to learn! Its fun though!

If her skin is super sensitive I would try some natural fibers first and go from there. Cotton, etc. sensitive does not necessarily mean sensitivity to wetness. She might just have a sensitivity to non natural fibers.

I wash everything together but my son is not allergic to anything.

Re: diaper interior for sensative tushies

Thanks for the advice! I've been trying out both the past few days, and the rash seems to be doing better already. Perhaps it was something in the sposies. Time will tell. Thanks again.

Re: diaper interior for sensative tushies

My DS reacted badly to the synthetic fabric in the Bumgenius sized AIO, so I switched to the Bumgenius organic AIO (the Elemental) and Grovia with organic inserts and we've been rash free for over a year!
