Herbal book recommendation?

Does anyone have a book on herbs they can recommend? I'm looking for a pretty comprehensive guide. preferably one that will tell me medicinal properties, the best preparations, and also safety for children (and pregnant women if possible).

I want the source to be a serious herbalist so I know I'm getting good info. I think maybe someone recommended Rosemary Gladstar before?

Thanks!

Re: Herbal book recommendation?

I like Rosemary Gladstar's Family herbal which has been renamed herbal recipes for vibrant health, There is a section on kids, Its probably my most used herbal
http://www.amazon.com/exec/obidos/AS.../chrisficti-20

Demetria Clark also has a pretty good herbal for children organized by ailment called herbal healing for children
for basics aviva romms naturally healthy babies and children is good too!
I have some others that are good too but those are the basics, I have, and doing rosemary's family herbalist correspondence course which i really like!
