Breast feeding and pregnancy

Hi, I just got a faint BFP I am still nursing my newly turned one year old. I have breasted through my other pregnancies but they were all older and weaned on their own aroun 20 weeks or so, I would love for her to nurse all the way through. For those who have nursed all the way through and went on to tandem nurse, what was the key? I know it is still early and there is a possibility that I may miscarry as I have before but I would like to start all I can now to get into some good habits, thanks

There really wasn't a key for me, I just tried to really take care of myself, rest as much as possible, and we pushed through the not-so-nice parts.

Re: Breast feeding and pregnancy

I nursed all the way through my second pregnancy, and tandem nursed for 9 months after. My first was only 5 months old when I got pregnant and didn't take a bottle, so even if I had wanted one, there wasn't really another choice!

I made sure I drank tons of water, I also took a calcium supplement since my Dr said I could be more prone to a calcium deficiency pregnant and breastfeeding exclusively (#1 didn't start solids at all until I was about 3 months pregnant)

I had a bit of dip in supply around 5-8 months (he was born almost a month early) and I could no longer pump while I was at work, but still was able to nurse my oldest just fine.
